Every domain extension has its own registry. A registry is the office that keeps the record of all domains of that extension and runs them. .pk is the extension of Pakistan, and its registry is PKNIC.
The PKNIC prepaid card is the payment card of this same office, so it works only inside the PKNIC system. When you enter the card code on the PKNIC portal, the payment goes straight to PKNIC. This is why the card works for domains like .pk, .com.pk, .net.pk, and .org.pk.
Domains like .com, .net, and .org have a different registry, and PKNIC is not connected to it. So the PKNIC card does not work for them, just like the gift card of one shop does not work in another shop. However, you can register a .com name with us: .com domain registration.
